Moon Mystery: This Ain’t No Lunar Vacation (Preview)

Blast off into a sci-fi FPS adventure where the moon is just the beginning.

Remember those cheesy sci-fi flicks where the moon landing was just the start of some crazy interstellar conspiracy? Well, Cosmoscouts’ upcoming FPS Moon Mystery looks to tap into that same B-movie magic, but with a modern, polished twist.

Launching on Steam October 28th, Moon Mystery puts you in the boots of an astro-geologist who’s about to have a really bad day. Think you’re just collecting space rocks on a routine mission? Think again. When contact with Earth goes dark, you’re left stranded on the lunar surface with a malfunctioning AI companion and a whole lot of questions.

More Than Just Moon Rocks

This isn’t just another survival game. Sure, you’ll need to manage your oxygen and navigate the treacherous lunar landscape, but Moon Mystery quickly throws you into a cosmic mystery that spans far beyond our little corner of the galaxy. Expect mind-bending puzzles, intense firefights with rogue technology, and a healthy dose of exploration that will have you piloting everything from lunar rovers to freakin’ submarines (in space?!).

A Love Letter to Classic Sci-Fi

From the trailer, it’s clear that Cosmoscouts is channeling some serious classic sci-fi vibes. The environments are atmospheric, the tech has a retro-futuristic feel, and the mystery itself seems ripped from the pages of a pulpy paperback novel. But don’t let the nostalgia fool you – Moon Mystery promises modern gameplay with a focus on environmental puzzles, platforming challenges, and combat that demands both precision and strategy.

One Small Step for Man, One Giant Leap into the Unknown

Developed by a small team of passionate sci-fi fans, Moon Mystery started as a humble Kickstarter project and has quickly blossomed into a full-fledged adventure. With its intriguing premise, diverse gameplay, and a clear love for the genre, this could be one of those sleeper hits that grabs you by the spacesuit and doesn’t let go.

Keep your scanners peeled for Moon Mystery, landing on Steam October 28th. In the meantime, check out the trailer and tell us what you think in the comments!
