The Opel Mokka, the German automaker’s bold and compact crossover, is getting a significant facelift with comprehensive design and technology upgrades. Officially revealed, the updated model is expected to arrive in Israel in the second quarter of 2025.
Sharpened Design
Opel has retained the Mokka’s distinctive design language but sharpened it for a more modern look.
- New Face: The signature Opel Vizor gets an update with a new, prominent Opel Blitz emblem at the center. The headlights and taillights have also been redesigned with a striking LED light signature featuring three “blocks” in each unit.
- Sporty Appearance: The Mokka GS Line will feature black accents on the front, rear, and wheel arches, along with a high-gloss black trim strip running along the lower door surfaces.
- Clean Cabin: The interior has been redesigned with Opel’s “Detox” approach, focusing on simplicity and clarity. The new steering wheel, flat-bottomed and flat-topped, adds a sporty feel and echoes the Vizor design. The center console, in matte silver, offers a cleaner look with fewer physical buttons and more touch-screen controls.
Advanced Technology
The refreshed Mokka boasts an impressive technology suite, including:
- Upgraded Infotainment: A 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10-inch digital driver information display, and natural voice control (“Hey Opel”).
- Personalized Experience: Both displays are highly customizable with widgets, shortcuts, and color schemes. The system recognizes the connected driver’s profile for a personalized experience.
- Intelligent Navigation: The optional navigation system features over-the-air map updates and continuously learns from the driver’s habits.
- 360-Degree Camera: An optional surround-view camera system provides a complete view of the vehicle’s surroundings.
Electrified Powertrains
The updated Mokka will be offered with a range of powertrains, including electric and hybrid options:
- Mokka Electric: With a 156 hp electric motor and a 54 kWh battery, the Mokka Electric will offer a range of up to 252 miles (WLTP).
- Mokka Hybrid: A mild hybrid version combining a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine with a small electric motor and a 48-volt battery.
Conclusion
The refreshed Opel Mokka offers a compelling blend of modern design, advanced technology, and efficient powertrains. With this impressive facelift, the Mokka strengthens its position as a leading crossover in its segment and is poised to attract a wide range of customers in Israel.
